Inform the climate change and adaptation advice we give to NSW Government. Take part in our consultation.

Your submission, along with evidence from other sources, will help shape our work plan, inform our policy recommendations and influence key outputs from the commission, including our next progress report. The progress report is the primary way we provide independent expert advice to NSW Government, to ensure we are on a clear path to net zero and adapting to a changing climate.  

We welcome insights on a variety of topics, including:

  • electricity and energy
  • transport
  • agriculture and land
  • industry and waste
  • resources
  • built environment
  • adaptation.

We want to hear from you

We want to hear from groups and individuals right across the state including:

  • business and finance
  • community groups
  • environmental organisations
  • First Nations peoples
  • local governments
  • peak bodies and industry associations
  • think tanks and academia
  • youth and older adults.

Yes. All submissions will be published by Thursday 24 July 2025 in accordance with our privacy collection notice. We will notify you when your submission has been published on this website.

The commission reserves the right to withhold certain submissions from publication at our discretion, such as those containing potentially defamatory content, or material that may compromise ongoing policy development. All submissions will be thoroughly reviewed and considered by the commission.
